The Town of Andover has been awarded a $5 million MBTA Communities Catalyst Fund grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to support targeted infrastructure improvements in the River Road corridor.

The funding will support roadway, sidewalk, and utility improvements that will accommodate a proposed housing development at 100 Old River Road, while also preparing the corridor for additional growth in the future. The investment marks a step forward in the Town's efforts to stimulate new development along River Road by introducing new housing opportunities in an area that has historically served as a major commercial and employment center.

Beyond the meetings. Inside the work. Behind the decisions. Closer to the people.

Andover46 represents a new approach to civic media in Andover. We’ll continue to provide the full meetings and in-depth coverage that residents rely on. But we’re also going further with concise updates, conversations, stories from across our community, and new ways to understand the work happening every day in Town government.

Know what matters. This is Andover46.
