The MOAA Math Competition is in full force at Phillips Academy Andover!

The Math Open at Andover (MOAA) brings together young mathematicians in Grade 8 and below to tackle challenging problems that test their mathematical reasoning, creativity, and problem-solving skills through individual and team rounds.

RSM is proud to be a longtime sponsor of MOAA and to support opportunities that encourage students to challenge themselves, explore mathematics beyond the classroom, and connect with a community of passionate young problem-solvers.

Wishing all participants a successful and rewarding competition! We’re especially proud to cheer on our RSM team!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate RSM student Rajarshi Mandal, who has been awarded the Davidson Fellows Scholarship for his groundbreaking work in malaria prevention!
A student at RSM for more than 10 years, Rajarshi was recognized for developing an innovative mathematical model to determine how insecticide-treated mosquito nets can be distributed where they could have the greatest impact.
His accomplishments extend far beyond mathematics and science. A rising junior at Lexington High School, Rajarshi is also an accomplished pianist who has performed twice at Carnegie Hall and holds a black belt in karate.
Rajarshi plans to study mathematics and computer science in college.
The Davidson Fellows Scholarship is one of the nation’s most prestigious honors for students 18 and younger, recognizing young people whose significant projects have the potential to make a meaningful impact in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, literature, and music.
Congratulations, Rajarshi! Your creativity, dedication, and passion for using mathematics to solve real-world problems are truly inspiring. We are so proud to have been part of your journey!
