Be the guiding light—Scoop It! ⛯🌊 ⚓
Today we present Mabel, our latest addition to the Dogs of Andover Photo Album! Their guardian has pledged to always clean up after their furry friend and carry the means of removal with them.
Every great adventure needs a good guide—and this pup knows exactly where to go! Whether you're following the trail, exploring the coast, or simply enjoying a walk around town, let the lighthouse be your reminder to shine a light on responsible pet ownership!
When pet waste is left behind, rain and melting snow can wash it into storm drains, where it flows untreated into local streams, ponds, and rivers.
Be a beacon for clean water: Scoop it. Bag it. Bin it. Dispose of bagged pet waste in a public trash receptacle or bring it home. Never leave a bag behind, toss it into a storm drain, or place it in someone else's trash bin.
Remember, cleaning up after your pet—and carrying a means to remove their waste—is required locally under Andover's Article XII, Section 11. It’s also a requirement when visiting State and National parks, besides just being the right thing to do!
Keep your pup on the right path and our community shining bright!
