Andover Sustainability is partnering with Black Earth Compost to host the Town's first Pumpkin Smash on November 3 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rec Park parking lot, located at 147 Abbot Street.

Residents are invited to bring their Halloween pumpkins for a opportunity to smash them before they're collected by Black Earth Compost and turned into nutrient-rich compost. Please remove all candles, glitter, and paint before bringing your pumpkins.

During the event, participants can also enjoy c***r and donuts, recycle their Halloween candy wrappers, and learn more about local sustainability initiatives.

Remember to join us next week for Andover's official Downtown Trick-or-Treat! The event will be held on Wednesday, October 28, from 4:30 to 5:30 PM. This family-friendly tradition offers a safe and fun way to celebrate the Halloween season while exploring local businesses in Downtown Andover.

Several participating shops, restaurants, and other businesses will hand out treats to costumed visitors, and several Town Departments will greet trick-or-treaters in front of Old Town Hall.

Additionally, official townwide Trick-or-Treating hours in Andover will be held on Saturday, October 31 from 5:00-7:00 PM.

Early voting for the 2026 State Election begins this Saturday, October 17. Early voting will be available daily at Andover Town Offices from Saturday, October 17 through Friday, October 30.

Early voting hours will be held 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM on weekdays and 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

Early voting provides a convenient opportunity to cast your ballot ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, November 3. All registered voters are eligible to vote early.

Andover Fire Rescue invites residents and members of the community to an Open House this Saturday, October 17 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Public Safety Center, 32 North Main Street.

The event will give residents an opportunity to learn more about fire prevention and public safety through demonstrations and hands-on activities, including the Fire Awareness Safety Trailer. Representatives from the Andover Police Department and Department of Public Health will also participate.

The Open House will include fire prevention information, blood pressure and glucose screenings, and free pizza!

Andover DPW is responding to a water main break on Sunset Rock Road. Water service will be temporarily shut off on Sunset Rock Road between Spring Grove Road and Ballardvale Road while crews make repairs.

A portion of Spring Grove Road near Sunset Rock Road, as well as McDonald Circle, will also be temporarily without water.
