On Thursday, October 8, 2026, Brooks and his great grandmother, a retired Deputy Sheriff from Laurens County Sheriff's Office stopped by and wanted to meet a police officer. Chief Bordner and Deputy Chief Vargas met with Brooks, showed him a police car where he was able to activate the lights & siren. Chief Bordner also sworn in Brooks as a Junior Andrews Police Officer. It was an absolute pleasure to see Brooks having so much fun!
