YES on Prop 1 means safe, affordable homes for California's veterans, low-income seniors on fixed incomes, survivors of domestic violence and their families, at risk and foster youth, working families, and people with disabilities - with strict accountability, transparency, and WITHOUT RAISING TAXES.

Californians will have a chance to vote YES on Proposition 1 in November – the Veterans and Affordable Housing Bond Act of 2026 – which would invest $11.25 billion in building and preserving affordable homes while expanding homeownership ➡ www.yesonprop1ca.com/join-us

Imagine working a full-time job in the community you love and still not being able to afford to live in it.

For too many families in Calaveras County, that’s the reality. They’re the people who keep our community running: the essential workers, the working families, the neighbors we count on every day. They go to work, pay their bills, and dream of a place to put down roots and raise their kids. But the cost of housing keeps that dream just out of reach.

Habitat for Humanity’s new global report found that 3 in 4 people have cut back on something just to afford housing. Behind that number are real choices: skipped savings, delayed plans, postponed dreams of starting a family.

That’s why we do what we do. We help hardworking families stay in the community where they work, build a stable home, and build a future. When a family has a home, children get stability, neighbors become friends, and the whole community gets stronger.

Yesterday, we had another incredible project day at the Angels Camp Museum ! Volunteers from WorldMark by Wyndham Angels Camp and Edward Jones Angels Camp joined forces with our future homeowners and local community members for a day of landscaping, connection, and fresh paint. Oh, and a BIG, SWEET THANK YOU to the Libertas Academy students for providing the necessary fuel for a day like this - cookies 🍪 🍪 !

The railings at the museum are now shiny, but the best part of the day was the shared laughter, great music, and meaningful conversations side by side.

, we are so grateful to everyone who brought their energy, hard work, and paintbrushes yesterday!

We are thrilled to announce that Yes on Prop 1 - the Veterans and Affordable Housing Bond - is officially on the ballot!

Prop 1 fast-tracks shovel-ready affordable developments, creates homeownership pathways for essential local workers (like our teachers, nurses, and firefighters), and expands housing support for our veterans - all with strict accountability and without raising taxes!

When local families, veterans, and seniors have safe, stable shelter, our entire community grows stronger and more resilient: www.yesonprop1ca.com/

Our team has returned from the Habitat for Humanity International Conference inspired, energized, and ready to put fresh ideas into action right here at home!

Connecting with fellow affiliates from across the globe reminded us of the power of our shared movement.

From innovative home-building techniques to new ways of fostering community partnerships, we learned so much that will strengthen our work at Eureka Oaks and beyond.

It was a truly transformative trip, but there is no place like home. We are glad to be back on the ground in Angels Camp, ready to build homes, communities, and hope alongside our local families!
