Thank you again to everyone who educated and advocated on this issue! Public participation matters, and this is a great example of why.

Today I was proud to join our USPS workers as they rallied to celebrate the 251st birthday of the postal service.

Many of us take receiving our mail for granted, but it truly is an essential public service.

Happy birthday USPS!

I would like to thank the many members of the public for their efforts to educate us on this issue. We don’t always get things right the first time, but we must always be willing to adjust to the best interest of our community. It has become clear this is one such case.

I will also be voting to repeal this policy.
