This is a hard post to write.

When I bought this beautiful old Queen Anne, I had so many ideas for what she could become, and somehow, she became even more than I imagined.

Nook & Key 1893 has been filled with guests, gatherings, celebrations, late-night stories, laughter, a little mystery, and some truly unforgettable experiences. I've loved watching other people fall in love with this house, its history, its quirks, and all of the incredible details that have survived for more than 130 years.

More than anything, I am incredibly grateful for the support and love people have shown Nook & Key since I opened her doors.

But sometimes you can love a place and still realize it isn't where you're supposed to stay forever.

Being eight hours away from my family simply hasn't worked for me, and as difficult as it is to say goodbye, I've made the decision to sell Nook & Key 1893.

I'm sad to leave, but I'm also genuinely excited to see who gets to write the next chapter.

This isn't just a beautiful 1893 Queen Anne. It's a house with personality, history, and SO much potential. Whether the next owner sees it as a home, vacation rental, creative business, gathering space, or something I haven't even imagined yet, I can't wait for someone else to experience everything that makes this old house so special.

Thank you to everyone who stayed here, attended an event, shared a post, told a friend, supported an idea, or simply loved this house along with me.

Nook & Key 1893 is ready for her next keeper. 🔑

Hide-and-seek with the princess who really must try out every room when she visits! Nookandkey1893 is pet friendly and has lots of openings for the upcoming weeks (including tonight and tomorrow!).
