It’s the inflation, stupid!
Political spin can’t disguise what Americans can no longer afford

It’s the inflation, stupid! The economy isn’t measured by political rhetoric or carefully crafted statistics. It’s measured by what Americans can actually afford. You can’t spin away the cost of living.

This election season, candidates from both political parties appear increasingly unhinged, resorting to personal attacks, inflammatory rhetoric, racism, and other forms of prejudice and intolerance. Equally disturbing is the audacity with which some spread blatant falsehoods, seemingly underestimating the intelligence of the electorate. Perhaps even more troubling is how readily some accept these claims without questioning their credibility.
Rather than engaging in substantive debate, acknowledging legitimate concerns, and presenting credible solutions, too many candidates seem more interested in discrediting their opponents than demonstrating their own capacity to lead.
No amount of campaign spending can buy credibility or restore public trust once it has been compromised. Genuine leadership begins with acknowledging problems, accepting responsibility, and offering meaningful solutions.
Voters deserve honesty over deception, substance over political theatrics, and accountability over excuses.

Weeks before Election Day, and suddenly Annapolis’s tax & spend Dems are preaching fiscal restraint & political independence 🤣

10/12/2026

Republicans espouse fiscal restraint until spending advances their own political objectives, while Democrats champion transparency and accountability until scrutiny reaches their own ranks.

Political campaigns reveal far more than ideological differences, they often expose the true character, deeply held convictions, underlying prejudices of individuals across the political spectrum

I’ve watched political debates for years and have always made an effort to assess candidates objectively, regardless of party affiliation, giving credit where credit is due. While partisan commentary is nothing new, this year the bias seems particularly blatant. Too many commentators on both sides appear more interested in declaring victory for their preferred candidate than offering an honest assessment of the debate. Political allegiance should never supersede intellectual honesty.

The mainstream media’s commitment to becoming more ridiculous every day is genuinely impressive. You’d think there’d be a ceiling. Apparently, it’s an open air concept

This traffic light perfectly represents the current state of affairs in Washington: they turn on both lights, then blame the other side for the crash.

I’ve been around politics long enough to know that hope and fear can both win votes. But neither is a substitute for courage.

I want leaders willing to tell the truth, challenge their own side, and stand on principle even when it costs them politically.

Hope can inspire. Fear can persuade. But courage defines leadership.
