Annapolis Police Department

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to The One Hundred Club of Anne Arundel County for inviting us to share in this joyous occasion, alongside Acting Police Chief Miguez. We are truly honored to be part of such a meaningful celebration.

This year, Officer Adornetto was recognized and received the Unsung Hero Award on behalf of the Annapolis Police Department; Acting Captain O'Herlihy accepted it on his behalf.

Our very own Makayla Raby, who is our Forensics Services Supervisor, received the Duke G. Aaron III Scholarship.

We congratulate them both, and we are proud of their hard work and dedication each and every day!

On October 10th, 2026 Sgt. Shane Seiber of the Philadelphia Police Department responded to an armed subject call for service. Immediately upon Sgt. Seiber's arrival, the subject ambushed him and shot him 3 times, ultimately killing him. Sgt. Sieber's partner was shot 12 times and currently recovering.

On October 20th, the Annapolis Police Department Honor Guard sent eight of their members to stand with thousands of officers from around the country to pay their final respects for Sgt. Seiber, his family, and the Philadelphia Police Department. May Sgt. Seiber rest in peace. We got it from here.

Our very own Officer Daniella DelCorso graduated from the Baltimore County Police Department SWAT school.

This 3-week school provides extremely demanding tactical and technical training in which many begin, but only a few complete it.

Officer DelCorso had the highest cumulative scoring average across all modalities, earning the top HONOR GRADUATE award. She was joined by her fellow team members of ASET at her graduation ceremony, which was held at the UA Headquarters.

Join us in congratulating ASET Officer DelCorso! Well done!
