We also need the community’s help. If you have information about individuals or locations involved in drug trafficking or the distribution of illegal drugs in Anniston, let us know. Information from the public can provide an important piece of the puzzle that helps investigators build a case and get drugs off our streets.

Twenty-five years ago today, our nation was forever changed.

On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 innocent lives were taken in acts of unimaginable evil. In the midst of that tragedy, America also witnessed extraordinary courage as first responders ran toward danger while others ran to safety. Police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, military members, and ordinary citizens answered the call to help, many making the ultimate sacrifice.

Today, 25 years later, we remember those who went to work, boarded a flight, or began a normal day and never returned home. We honor those who gave their lives trying to save others, and we remember the families who have carried the weight of that loss for a quarter century.

We also remember what followed: a nation united in grief, resolve, and love for one another.

May we never forget the lives lost.
May we never forget the heroes who answered the call.
May we never forget the sacrifices made in the years that followed.

September 11, 2001 Never Forget. 🇺🇸

We love getting messages like these. Our men and women are hard at work every day doing their best to serve the citizens and visitors of Anniston. Part of that service goes beyond answering calls and enforcing the law. It’s about engaging with our community, building relationships, and investing in the youth of our city.

Many moments like this happen without being noticed and often without us ever hearing about them. We’re thankful this mom took the time to share this one with us.

To the officer who took a few minutes out of his morning to toss a football with these two young men: well done. You made their day and reminded us that sometimes the little things can make a big difference.
