Caverly is a 10 month old Labrador Retriever mix who can be a little shy and timid at first. He likes to take his time exploring his surroundings and getting used to new places before letting his personality shine. But once he starts to feel comfortable, his sweet side really comes through! 🥰

Caverly also enjoys spending time outdoors, where he can wander around and soak up the sunshine ☀️ He's looking for a patient, loving family who will give him the time he needs to settle in and help him grow in confidence.

🐾 Recognizing Our Animal Control Officers 🐾

Not every rescue is easy, and not every call has a happy beginning. Our Animal Control Officers are out in the community every day responding to calls, searching for missing pets, helping stray animals, and stepping in when animals are neglected or in need of help.

Just recently, our officers rescued a little cat who had been searching for food in a trash can and ended up getting stuck. Thankfully, they were there to help him! ❤️ What started as a scary situation has a much happier ending, and we're glad to share that this little guy is now healthy and happy! 🐱💕

Stories like his are just one example of the work our officers do every day. From reuniting lost pets with their families to rescuing animals who cannot help themselves, they play an important role in protecting the animals in our community. Their work takes patience, compassion, dedication, and a willingness to face difficult situations.

Today, we want to recognize and thank our Animal Control Officers for showing up, answering the call, and giving animals a chance at safety and a better life. Their work may not always be easy, but it makes a difference every single day.

Thank you for being a voice for the animals who can't speak for themselves. ❤️🐾

A quick paw check after spending time outside can help keep your furry friend comfortable and catch any problems early!

🐾 Here are a few easy ways to protect your dog's paws:
- Wipe their paws after walks or playing in unfamiliar areas outside.
- Check between their toes for debris or anything stuck in their fur.
- Look for redness, cracks, swelling, or excessive licking.
- Keep their nails trimmed to help them walk comfortably.

A little extra care goes a long way in keeping those paws happy and healthy! ❤️
