🎣 Registration open: Oklahoma 4-H Virtual Trout Derby

Grab your fishing gear and hit the water from anywhere in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma 4-H Virtual Trout Derby is open to active 4-H’ers in grades 3-12, with competition running Nov. 16 through Jan. 18. Cloverbuds can join the fun, too, at no cost for bragging rights!

💚🌟 Southeast District Teen Leadership Conference! 🌟💚

What a great opportunity for our youth to learn, grow, build friendships, and develop their leadership skills! I had the privilege of bringing 16 youth and 3 adults from Choctaw and Pushmataha counties, plus me as their 4-H Educator, to the Southeast District Teen Leadership Conference! 🍀

We also had 6 youth participants run for district officer positions, demonstrating courage, commitment, and a willingness to serve and lead others.

I’m proud of these young people for stepping up, getting involved, and investing in themselves as leaders. Experiences like these help build confidence, create memories, and prepare our youth to make a difference in their communities.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this opportunity possible! The future is bright with these young leaders coming up! 💚🤍

Please share the word that there will be a 4-H livestock meeting October 28th at 5pm hosted at the OSU Extension office in Antlers. If your youth member shows livestock under 4-H please plan to attend this meeting with Jena Kellum and Kris Bailey. They will be going over the process for nominations for the County Livestock Show.

Happy National Farmer's Day! 👩‍🌾 Today we pay tribute to the men, women, and families who put food in the grocery stores and on our tables every day. We especially rely on farmers to get fresh food on our tables during uncertain times, and if you love to visit a pumpkin patch, just remember how much work goes into the planning, timing, and ex*****on of these festive festivals.
