Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice purchased freedoms many of us enjoy every single day, and we are deeply grateful. 🇺🇸

At Loaves & Fishes, we remember that “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

We honor the courage, selflessness, and legacy of those who served with unwavering dedication. We also lift up the families who carry both pride and loss in their hearts today.

From the incredible effort poured into the Post Office Food Drive, to the everyday acts of love that happen quietly behind the scenes, you are the heartbeat of this ministry. Whether you are sorting donations, carrying boxes, stocking shelves, serving families, organizing, cleaning, praying, encouraging, or simply showing up faithfully week after week, every single thing you do matters more than you know.
Loaves & Fishes would not be who we are without you. Your generosity, sacrifice, compassion, and servant hearts are woven into every life touched here.

Loaves & Fishes will be CLOSED on Monday, May 26th in observance of Memorial Day.

We honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. ❤️🤍💙

On Saturday, May 9th, 2026, the United States Postal Service and the National Association of Letter Carriers held the 34th Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, the nation’s largest one day food drive.

Each year, letter carriers across the country go above and beyond their daily duties, collecting non-perishable food donations from families along their routes to help stock the shelves of local food pantries and feed neighbors in need. Since its beginning in 1993, Stamp Out Hunger has collected more than 1.9 billion pounds of food nationwide, making an incredible impact in communities all across America.

This year, Loaves and Fishes was deeply honored and incredibly blessed to once again be the recipient of the Apopka Post Office food drive. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our community, an amazing 8,783 pounds of food was collected to help serve families right here in our area.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to every single letter carrier who spent the day lifting and collecting countless bags of food, to our dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly sorting and organizing every donation, and to the Apopka Post Office for their continued partnership and support.

Most importantly, thank you to every person who took the time to leave a bag of food by their mailbox. Your kindness, generosity, and willingness to help your neighbors make a difference far greater than you know.

Because of this community, hundreds of families will be fed and cared for in the weeks ahead. We truly could not do this without each and every one of you.

We are humbled, grateful, and reminded once again what can happen when a community comes together to love and serve others well.

Please join us in congratulating Hal and Deb on their well-deserved nomination for the Sertoma Service to Mankind Award!

For over 10 years, these two incredible and selfless individuals have faithfully supported Loaves & Fishes by providing essential toiletry and household items for our clients. Deb dedicates countless hours each week to couponing, researching, clipping, and purchasing large quantities of much needed items, and because of this we are to provide these necessities to our beloved clients.

Their generosity and commitment truly embody what it means to serve others. We are beyond grateful for the impact they’ve made in our community.

The award ceremony will take place next Tuesday April 28th; join us in celebrating Hal and Deb and the difference they continue to make! 💙

March Match Madness has come to an incredible close, and to say we are overwhelmed with gratitude is a tremendous understatement.

This is our only fundraiser of the year, and every dollar raised was matched up to $50,000, making every dollar have double the impact.

Because of your generosity, love, and willingness to give, we raised $95,884.61, with $50,000 matched, bringing our grand total to $145,884.61.

We are truly in awe of God’s goodness and faithfulness. Time and time again, He provides, and He does it through each of you, our amazing community. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus, for showing up, and for giving so selflessly.

Lives will be touched. Hope will be strengthened. Needs will be met. And it’s all because of YOU. 💪🏼💕
