⚠️ Making Our Roads Safer!

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has been awarded a $935,000 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) to enhance traffic safety throughout our communities.

This funding will support increased enforcement, DUI checkpoints, and educational programs focused on reducing speeding, distracted driving, and impaired driving.

Our goal is simple: prevent collisions, save lives, and keep our roads safe for everyone.

On October 7, 2026, deputies from the Apple Valley, Victorville, Hesperia, Adelanto Sheriff’s Stations, Victor Valley Transit Bureau and a California Highway Patrol officer, participated in a Collaborative Zero Tolerance Traffic Enforcement Operation in the Town of Apple Valley.🚗

The operation focused on promoting traffic safety and addressing violations that contribute to unsafe driving conditions and traffic collisions throughout the community.🌟

During the enforcement operation, deputies and participating law enforcement personnel conducted 106 traffic stops, resulting in 101 citations being issued. Additionally, nine vehicles were towed, and one driver was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.👮‍♂️

The Apple Valley Station would like to thank the participating agencies for their partnership and continued commitment to keeping the roads safe for motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists. Traffic enforcement operations such as this are conducted to increase compliance with traffic laws, deter dangerous driving behaviors, and reduce traffic collisions in our communities.🚔

The Apple Valley Station encourages everyone to do their part by obeying traffic laws, remaining attentive behind the wheel, and never driving while impaired. 📵
