On September 29, nine ABE Diploma Students took a tour of Normandale Community College, where student guides led us through their spacious facilities on a rainy fall semester day. All the buildings are connected indoors, so the college was no less buzzing with activity than usual.

Programs ABE students learned about included computer science, study abroad opportunities, theater, and nursing.

Join us on November 7th for the Parenting Conference: Fostering Resilience, Supporting Learners, Strengthening Communities.

Conference runs from 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Eastview High School.

This event is free and features two sessions of great speakers presenting on parenting information for parents and caregivers of children from birth though high school.

Minnesota voters will decide on a public school funding amendment this November.

The proposed constitutional amendment would change how money from Minnesota’s Permanent School Fund is distributed, potentially providing more funding for public schools without raising property, income or sales taxes.

The proposal would use a three-year average of the fund’s value to help provide steady funding for classroom needs, teachers and student opportunities.

You are invited to a special event where families can experience the joy of early learning OUTDOORS! This event is designed for children and their parents to explore our outdoor learning spaces, engage in hands-on activities and connect with other families. Whether it’s digging in the dirt, painting in the sunshine or building with natural materials, children will be free to play, discover and imagine. Dress for the weather and come ready for fun. If the weather is uncooperative, we will move activities inside.
