Huntley Elementary is a K-5 public elementary within the Appleton Area School District. Huntley Elementary has a long history of strong academics, excellent enrichment programs, a strong PTO, healthy lifestyle initiatives and a positive supportive learning environment. Enrollment is approximately 700 students in grades K-6 along with several special education programs and a talented and gifted program. We pride ourselves on being a large school that is closely connected and has the strength and characteristics of a neighborhood school. We offer a wide variety of co-curricular activities for students and encourage you to explore those options on our website or in person. Today wasn’t a spirit day, but we saw many students and staff members wearing Brewers gear! 💙💛 Tomorrow IS a spirit day, so wear your pajamas or other comfy cozy clothing!

We may all be different, but in this school we swim together! 🐠🐢🐡

In Mrs. McCurdy’s art class, each student added their own special piece to this collaborative artwork display which shares the message that everyone belongs at Huntley. Just like the ocean needs all of its unique creatures to make it complete, our school is stronger, brighter, and more beautiful when everyone is included.

Every wave. Every fish. Every person. Every piece matters. What a beautiful reminder that there is a place for everyone in our school! 💙 💛

💪🏃‍♀️Tough Kid Challenge🏃‍♂️💪

Yesterday our students showed off their strength, determination, and perseverance during the Tough Kid Challenge! From climbing and crawling to jumping and racing, they took on each obstacle with courage and a great attitude.

We are so proud of every student who challenged themselves, cheered on other participants, and never gave up! 💙💛

Our students had an exciting visit from Championship Martial Arts! Students got a firsthand look at what martial arts is all about and learned how it can build focus, respect, confidence, and social skills.

Our visitors even gave students the opportunity to see some martial arts skills in action and learn more about how they can get involved outside of the school day. One option is for students to join an after school class offered at Huntley! Here is the link to sign up: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1B8MSyxqzj27dzlEbPnZehGqkkmChNRdt/view

A big thank-you to our guests for taking the time to visit our school and share their passion with our students! 🥋

Our first assembly of the year was a wonderful reminder of what makes Huntley so special! 💙💛

We came together to celebrate students who have been showing what it means to be respectful, responsible, safe, and always kind. We are so proud of the positive choices our students are making each day! One student from each class was recognized at the assembly and received a certificate and pin showing they know the Roadrunner way.

As an extra celebration, 5 individual students were randomly selected from the Beep Beep Bucks they earned for demonstrating these important qualities to receive some special prizes.

Way to go, Roadrunners! Keep showing those qualities and helping make our school a great place to learn and grow!

💃🕺Dance Recess was a HUGE hit!🎶

Last week, our students got to dance, laugh, and have a little extra fun during Dance Recess, sponsored by our Student Wellness Council!

Student Wellness Council is a new club that combines the previous Student Council, Service Club, and Healthy Kids Committee. In this club, students from all three schools combine their ideas and leadership to help make our school an even healthier, happier place. 💙💛💚💜

Last night’s Fall Fest was filled with laughter, fun, and so many wonderful memories! We are incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and, most importantly, to everyone who continues to support our school and our students. ❤️

Our school community is truly something special, and we are so thankful for Huntley Elementary PTO, families, staff, volunteers, and supporters who help make events like this possible.

Thank you for making our first Fall Fest one to remember! We are *falling* for our school community! 🍎🎃🍂

In Module 1 of Wit & Wisdom, third graders explore the sea through artwork and texts. One of the art pieces they study is Hokusai’s The Great Wave off Kanagawa. After analyzing the artwork, each student recreated their own version! 🌊
