This week we are recognizing one of our Special Ed Paras, Ms. Pearl! 🎉

Principal Heu says, "Pearl is one of our amazing SPED paraprofessionals who provides great support to our students. She is intentional about engaging students in learning and does a nice job positioning herself near students to offer support, encouragement, and guidance when they need it. Her attentiveness and commitment to supporting students help create opportunities for them to stay engaged and continue growing.

This week we are recognizing our HAIS 4K teacher, Mrs. Harkey! 🎉

Principal Heu says, "Mailee has the incredible job of welcoming, teaching, and guiding 28 of our youngest learners each day, and she does it with so much patience, care, and heart. She is busy establishing routines, building independence, and helping our young learners feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.
From learning how to transition, listen, care for their belongings, and work with friends, Mailee is helping our youngest Champions build a strong foundation for their school journey.
Thank you, Mailee, for being a teacher of our youngest learners!"

Principal Heu says, "Suzie plays an important role in helping strengthen communication and connection between our school, our students, and our Hmong-speaking families. Her support helps ensure that families feel welcomed, heard, and included as valued members of our school community.
Whether she is interpreting conversations, supporting families, or helping bridge language and cultural understanding, Suzie brings care, patience, and a strong commitment to our students and families.

Next week we're celebrating Homecoming with dress up days! 😍

This year the Homecoming parade is happening on the track at East (instead of down John St) on Wednesday, October 7 at 5:15pm. Families are invited to watch from the Home bleachers and can arrive as early as 5:00. Future Patriots are encouraged to bring bags to collect candy distributed by the Appleton East teams and clubs.
