Congratulations on your 19 year Anniversary TC Heather Fischer! Heather has served on multiple committees over the years and as a Certified Training Officer. Heather has received multiple awards including (but not limited to) the P.R.I.D.E Award which is voted on by her peers for holding true to the Sheriff's Department Mission Statement, the Outagamie County District Attorney's Office Best of the Badge, the Greenville Lions Award for Dispatcher of the Year and has been awarded Dispatcher of the Year in the State of Wisconsin through WIPSCOM. Heather was asked about her years in dispatch...

"I love being a 911 dispatcher because I have the privilege of being the calm voice someone hears during some of the most difficult moments of their life. Every call is different and challenging, every person has a story to tell, and every day brings a new opportunity to make a difference or save a life, if that was in God's plan.

I may be a little biased, but I work alongside some of the best. This team shows up, supports one another, and steps in when help is needed without any hesitation. We recently had a dispatcher drive through a tornado, putting her own life in jeopardy, just to get to work early to help answer the 911 calls. This is just another reason why I love what I do! This career is not something I initially thought about pursuing but I am so thankful that it found me because I am right where I belong.

In my free time, I enjoy making memories with my family and friends, soaking up every cuddle from our four-legged family members, watching my stepson grow as he plays sports and navigates the challenging high school years, and I cherish the quiet moments and crazy adventures shared with my husband, whose love and support have been a constant source of strength for me."

Congratulations Heather!!

😊 Spend time together and have fun
💙 Make a difference that can last a lifetime

You don’t have to be a superhero. You just have to show up, listen, and care.
