Meet Our Panther Principals: Mr. Rombs!
For National Principals Month, we asked our campus leaders about their experience as Panther Principals; here's what Mr. Rombs had to say:
What’s your favorite way to connect with students during the school day?
"One of my favorite things to do is mingle with students during lunch. I get to know so much about them and their families and what’s going well, and what’s going not as well in their lives."
What’s something happening in your classrooms this year that you’re excited about?
"Something happening in classrooms at APHS this year that I’m excited about is seeing students become more engaged and involved in their own learning. I’m excited about classrooms where students aren’t just sitting and listening, but are collaborating, asking questions, solving problems, and connecting what they learn to the real world. I think that kind of learning helps students feel more confident, gives them a voice, and makes school feel more meaningful."
What do you hope every student knows or feels about being part of your school?
"I hope every student knows that they belong at APHS and that their presence matters. I want them to feel supported, valued, and accepted for who they are. Being part of APHS should mean being part of a community where students feel safe to be themselves, encouraged to grow, and empowered to pursue their goals. Most of all, I hope every student leaves APHS knowing that they are capable of more than they may realize and that they have people around them who believe in, and love them."
As we close out National Principals Month, we want to say thank you, Mr. Rombs, for building meaningful connections and helping our Panthers see all they're capable of achieving! 💜💛
