🔥 Guil-Rand Fire Department Gives Back! 🔥

The Guil-Rand Fire Department is proud to announce our donation of $8,900 to the UNC Jaycee’s Burn Center — one of the nation’s leading burn treatment and rehabilitation facilities.

This donation was made possible through the incredible support of our community at the Guil-Rand Fire Department Golf Tournament, held on October 2nd at Holly Ridge Golf Links. ⛳

We are deeply grateful for the life-saving work the Burn Center provides to patients and families across North Carolina. Their dedication, compassion, and expertise make a difference every single day, and we are honored to support their mission.

Thank you to all sponsors, players, volunteers, and supporters who helped make this year’s tournament a success. Together, we’re making our community stronger. ❤️🔥

Our personnel have been participating in some rope rescue training this past week. The scenarios centered around hunting related incidents where access to the patient is impeded by distance and height. Thank you to the City of Archdale for hosting us at Creekside park.

We want to thank John Lawrence Elementary for the opportunity to talk to the kindergarten and first grade classes about fire safety! Captain Parrish and Sparky the Fire Dog covered topics that included “don’t play with matches/ lighters”, “stop drop and roll”, “the sound of a smoke alarm” and “get low and go!” Teaching children fire safety is everyone’s responsibility so take a moment to talk to your kids today!

Congratulations to Guil-Rand Fire on the win over Archdale PD in the Battle of the Badges basketball game. Money and food was raised for Run 5 Feed 5.

🇺🇸 Honoring Our First Responders 🇺🇸

A special thank you to Mount Calvary Church for recognizing and honoring our first responders on 9/11.

Our crews were honored for their dedication to the fire service and, just as importantly, their commitment to building strong relationships within our community. Our firefighters take great pride in connecting with local families and especially our children — giving them the opportunity to see the fire trucks, explore the equipment, and learn important fire safety lessons.

These interactions help build trust, educate our community, and inspire the next generation to respect and appreciate the men and women who serve.

We are truly grateful to Mount Calvary Church for remembering 9/11 and for taking the time to recognize those who dedicate themselves to serving others.
