KAB was able to gather enough ♻️books to once again host a trunk for the THIRD year, 100% thanks to Sherriee and her daughter, who wanted to get involved in this event & collected 100s of books on their own! Look what a community can do! Want to get more involved like Sherriee? Just comment or DM

Do you own property along a "well traveled" (AKA busy road) in the Argyle area? Think: FM 1830, 407, Hickory Hill, Frenchtown, Country Club, Crawford, Gibbons, Jeter...? We want to GIVE YOU FOR FREE dozens of Iris rhizomes for you to plant on the edge of your property! Don't fret, they don't need irrigation, fertilizer and you can "mow over" them at the end of the summer! We at KAB want to line our country roads with a beautiful booms each April/May with yellow, white, purple (even other unique colors!) so drivers can enjoy the view while driving past. There is no "hitch", just email: [email protected] and submit your address, where you want the bag dropped off and if you want between 1 to 5 dozen rhizomes! *They need to be planted in a very shallow hole in October, so don't delay your email. Please share with friends/neighbors who are not on Facebook. Thank you everyone for helping KAB to KEEP Argyle Beautiful (& Bartonville, etc..)

*NEW* for 2026- KAB is ready to initiate the "Argyle Area" Roadside Iris Program! 🏆Goal-to see beautiful springtime Irises along Argyles roadsides that can be enjoyed by those passing by! ✏️Needed-property owners who own alongside a thoroughfare street (ex: not in a subdivision or a dead end) KAB will give you Iris Rhizomes (& teach you how to plant) or we will look for volunteers to help you. No special care or watering needed & in the summer, you can "raise" the blade on the lawnmower & mow the tops off & wait for next spring blooming!

Thank you Argyle ISD Communications for sharing the KAB Iris Program in the News from the Nest! *Have a patch of Iris that hasn't been divided for 3-5 years? And, do you own property along a "well traveled" road in the Argyle area? KAB is striving to get Iris along our beautiful roadsides so our springs look amazing!
