They got to see what was inside, check out the seeds, and learn a little more about pumpkins along the way.

🤝 IXL Elementary YELL students spent some time connecting with our community this month!

After learning about formal introductions, handshakes, and communicating with adults, students had a chance to practice those skills during a visit to the Arkansas City Senior Citizen's Center.

They spent time playing games, sharing snacks, and getting to know community members. Representatives from Hope Squads of Cowley County and Cowley College ACES joined them, too!

It was a fun opportunity for students to step outside their comfort zones, build confidence, and make new connections. Thank you to everyone who welcomed our students!

🤝 ¡Este mes, los estudiantes de YELL de IXL Elementary dedicaron tiempo a conectarse con nuestra comunidad!

Después de aprender cómo presentarse formalmente, saludar de mano y comunicarse con los adultos, los estudiantes tuvieron la oportunidad de practicar estas habilidades durante una visita al Arkansas City Senior Citizen's Center.

The Arkansas City Middle School Cross Country team had great results at the league race!

The 7th Grade Boys are league champs! Bashtyn Hunt took 1st place; Hutton Lewis took 3rd; Nathanael Griffith took 5th; and James Cole took 14th.

7th Grade Girls: Zoe Kerwood took 15th

8th Grade Boys: Ian Wyckoff took 8th

8th Grade Girls: Riley Harper took 6th

Our PreK students had a great time on their annual gingerbread hunt!

Ms. Day’s morning and afternoon classes searched for the missing gingerbread man throughout the school, with stops in the library, office, and several classrooms. Mrs. Schmidler’s class joined in on the fun, too!

Along the way, students learned about empathy and practiced showing kindness by helping others clean up.

Such a fun tradition and a great learning experience! IXL Elementary

¡Nuestros estudiantes de PreK se divirtieron mucho en su búsqueda anual del hombre de jengibre!

Las clases de la mañana y de la tarde de la maestra Day recorrieron la escuela buscando al hombre de jengibre desaparecido. Visitaron la biblioteca, la oficina y varios salones de clases. ¡La clase de la maestra Schmidler también se unió a la diversión!

The Bulldogs are headed to Andover Central tonight! Varsity will now kick off around 4:30 p.m., with JV to follow, weather permitting.

🎶 ACMS Choir Concert at 6:30 p.m. at Arkansas City Middle School.
