Chief Warrant Officer of the Army

Congratulations to CW3 Joseph (Ben) Bailey who was selected for NASA’s Astronaut Candidate Program. Ben now begins nearly two years of rigorous training before graduating as a flight eligible astronaut. Ben is a decorated Army aviator and test pilot. Also, sending congratulations to the other nine members of Astronaut Group 24 that were announced today at Johnson Space Center. Job well done!

On 09 July 2025, the Chief Warrant Officer of the Army, the Army National Guard CCWO, and the Army Reserve CCWO participated in a wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Let us honor and reflect on their sacrifice.

Great engagement with the U.S. Army Medical professionals at Joint Base San Antonio. It was inspiring to see firsthand the professionalism, technical acumen, and dedication of the team at MEDCOM as they train and transform for the future fight.

Great engagement at Fort Novosel, Alabama and the Aviation Center of Excellence, discussing many efforts to include PME modernization, airspace integration, and Flight School Next—key to advancing Warfighting and Lethality.

Just wrapped up a great visit to the Fires Center of Excellence, engaging with the leadership, students, and cadre of the Air Defense Artillery and Field Artillery branches. Outstanding discussions on modernization, training, lethality, and the vital role of Warrant Officers in the future fight!

Just wrapped up a great visit with the Alabama National Guard Warrant Officers at Ft. McClellan to learn about the Accelerated Warrant Officer Candidate School Program, then headed to Fort Novosel to connect with the leadership and students at the Warrant Officer Career College. Inspiring to see the dedication and professionalism at both locations!

During my recent visit to Hawaii, I had the privilege of connecting with our Warrant Officers at Schofield Barracks. I attended a luncheon with the Senior Warrant Officer Leaders and hosted a professional development session for all Warrant Officers. I was excited to meet the 2/25 TiC Brigade WOs and learn about the innovative efforts they’re driving. I also had the opportunity to speak at AFCEA TechNet Indo-Pacific and engage with the leadership of the Joint Intelligence Operations Center. It's truly inspiring to see teamwork in action and the dedication to our Army!

AUSA 2024 was a great event for the Warrant Officer Cohort. Thank you to all that were able to attend. A special thank you to our guest speakers LTG Braga, MG Beck, and Dr. Miller.
