Cpl. Marco Hernandez, a Ridgecrest, California, native with the 2d Marine Division participates in his re-enlistment ceremony.
Hernandez was identified as a “Follow Me" Marine in an effort to share the stories of Marines who decided to re-enlist.

Basic Warrior Training
📍Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C. (Nov. 16, 2022)
with Hotel Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, learn and execute Basic Warrior Training techniques.
Recruits learn basic infantry skills such as land navigation, maneuvering through obstacles, and buddy rushing.

Hidden In The Sky
📍 Bogue, North Carolina (Dec. 1, 2022)
with the Maritime Special Purpose Force (MSPF), 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct a free-fall insertion over Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field Bogue.
This training was conducted as part of a Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Interoperability Course during the intermediate training phase of the pre-deployment training program.

📍 San Clemente Island, Calif. (Dec. 5, 2022)
with 3rd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion, Marine Air Control Group 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, fire FIM-92A Stinger surface-to-air missiles during exercise Steel Knight 23.
Exercise provides an opportunity to refine Wing-level warfighting in support of I Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF) and fleet maneuver.
