The United States Air Force Memorial honors the service and sacrifices of the men and women of the United States Air Force and its predecessor organizations.

This Air Force Memorial (AFM) page is intended to provide current, relevant information and discussion on AFM, its mission, its people and its efforts and initiatives. Any of these topics, if released in an open medium, have the ability to provide our adversaries opportunities to harm our military members. April 1 – Sept. 30 from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Oct. 1 – March 31 from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Reminder: The Air Force Memorial will be closed to all visitors from March 23 to April 24 for cleaning and inspection of the spires. This closure impacts all visitors, including those arriving by vehicle or on foot. All events and ceremonies currently scheduled at the Memorial during this timeframe are canceled. Technicians climbing and descending the spires may be visible during maintenance and are a normal part of the process.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure the Air Force Memorial remains a safe and welcoming environment for all guests through these essential maintenance efforts.

WEATHER CLOSURE | The Air Force Memorial will be closed starting March 16 at 12:00 PM due to adverse weather conditions.

The memorial will remain closed for the rest of the day. We plan to resume operations and reopen on March 17 at 8:00 AM.

Due to the government shutdown, the AFM is closed until further notice. No bus tours, cars, or foot traffic are permitted access at the memorial.
