High School Summer Learning » Arlington ISD Arlington ISD high school students have multiple opportunities during summer learning to earn course credit and prepare for future success.

Thursday and Friday are:
* Free Dress Days- Must Be AISD Dress Code
(No Pajama Pants)
* No Backpacks
* Early Release Days @ 12:45pm

The Patriot Band Performed a fabulous Concert to end the 25-26 School Year! We are proud of our Patriot Band and Directors.

Thank you to all the parents that came out to our Future Patriots Open House! Our student ambassadors led the way as they talked about what made their experience at Shack amazing and gave a tour of classes during 2nd period. We are excited about our new Patriots and creating a smooth transition to Junior High from 6th grade!

My Cup is full! We held our first Senior Final Walk and Popsicle Celebration today! It was fun to see the Seniors walk through the halls of Shackelford again as the 8th graders joined them to be clapped out on their last full day of school. We then headed to the cafe for popsicles and the Seniors gave advice to our 8th graders for how to succeed in High School!

Last week, the Shackelford counselors sent home course selection lists with all of our incoming 7th and 8th graders. Please review this list with your student to ensure their classes for the 2026–2027 school year look exactly how they want them.

If your student's list got lost at the bottom of their backpack (we've all been there! 🎒), don't panic! You can email your school counselor directly to get a copy sent your way.
