Lets Meet A Member. Today we are going to meet Annette Lind from Lind Educational Services.

Hello, I am Annette Lind. I am an alumnus of Lakewood School District along with both of my children. I am now a proud grandmother. I grew up as an Air Force brat going to two schools for every grade until 6th grade when I ended up in Arlington. It was where my father had graduated 14 years before. I stayed there until the new high school was built in Lakewood (1983) then my family moved to Lake Goodwin where I still live. As for my experience, I am a certified teacher with a dual BA degree in Special Education PreK-12 & Elementary Education K-8 and MS degree in Curriculum & Instruction. I have over 35 years of experience in the field of education in Snohomish & Skagit County working and volunteering as a para-educator, certified teacher, preschool teacher, youth leader, self-reliance instructor, tutor, MERIT/STARS adult instructor and clinical supervisor for student teachers. I owned Papa Bear's Preschool from 2005 to 2009 but had to close it when I went back to obtain my degrees. In 2024, I opened Lind Educational Services in Arlington.

Business:

Lind Educational Services was opened in March 2024 when I decided to help the families in my community. I wanted children to enjoy learning and to succeed in their education. We offer tutoring for all ages from elementary through college students in reading, writing, math, history, social studies, science, study skills, and much more. Also, we have a kindergarten class for 5-year-olds (birthday by end of September) three days a week; PreK class for 4-year-olds two days a week; help for homeschool parents; and high school credit classes (ELA/Literature and Archaeology/Geography). We are located near Arlington airport. I, Annette Lind, am the tutor and main teacher. My mother, Kathy Bowker, is my co-teacher for the kindergarten and PreK classes.

Stilly Valley Chamber's Meet A Member Monday

Today, let's meet a brand new business to Arlington.

"My name is Adonis Del Valle and I am the founder and operator of Pressure Valley Cleaners LLC. I opened this business just this year. I grew up in North Everett and attended Everett High School, participating in activities like band and track. I used to work at Boeing before the pandemic, and I also worked at Anheuser-Busch in Arlington as a Night Lead for the warehouse. I have a home in Arlington with an amazing wife and baby. We enjoy playing video games together as well as going out for a day trip now and then.

Pressure Valley Cleaners was founded just this year. It was born through my desire to make a difference. Growing up in North Everett, I was witness to how much nature tries to take back her land. Homes and streets covered in green as if forgotten. Safety for us is the biggest concern for me, as unchecked growth can damage your property in many different ways. From the top of your house to the end of your driveway, we provide solutions for exterior cleaning jobs that will leave you wondering why you didn't get it done sooner. Our goal as a company is to get out there and give everyone a place they can feel safe in as well as proud to be seen in. After all, we live here too. "

We love introducing new businesses to our community.

Feel free to reach out to Adonis for more information about Pressure Valley Cleaners LLC go to https://pressurevalleycleaners.com/

Following his victory at the 2026 Championship, Peter joined U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Vice President Hilary Crow and Daniels Fund President and CEO Hanna Skandera for a conversation about his experience competing and the importance of civics education.

Meet A Member Monday Columbia Bank

First lets talk about what a Stilly Valley Chamber member is. Stilly Valley Chamber Members are businesses that work together as an organization by paying a membership fee to build businesses, support each other and support the community. It is member businesses who create the events like pumpkin carving at Hometown Halloween, the Show & Shine Car Show, Farm Tours, the Arlington Farmers Market and other events and programs like Civics Bee and Arlington Business Workshops.

Today we are going to meet Narda and her employer, Columbia Bank. Columbia Bank is located at the corner of West Avenue, 4th and Highway 9.

"My name is Narda Schulz and I have been the manager at the Arlington Branch since Feb 2007. My banking career started in January of 1990 at a national bank. Since then, I have worked at 4 banks in my 36-year career and being a banker at a community focused bank is where I feel at home. As a branch manager, I try to bring the humanness to my team and my clients. Although I have regulations and laws to follow, I can still be real, transparent, and caring to those I work with and for. I grew up in Bothell and attended college at Bellevue Community College, finishing my degree at Central Washington University. I have two sons, Matthew-34 and Daniel-30, and I currently live in Granite Falls. In our spare time, my husband Chris and I love to fish the PNW lakes and rivers. Our new beginning hobby is prospecting and gold panning. I love the PNW and cannot imagine living in any other place."

About Columbia Bank:

Columbia Bank opened their doors in August of 1993 in Tacoma with 8 branches and in the 33 years following we have grown to over 350 locations with our footprint reaching Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, and Nevada. We are now the largest bank headquartered in the Northwest with a commitment to serving our clients with a relationship-based approach. We believe that getting to know the needs and goals of each client is crucial to finding solutions that meet their specific needs. Columbia Bank is also committed to community involvement through sponsorships, donations, and volunteerism. The Arlington branch team: Lisa Jury, Donna DeFord, Taylor Scovel, and Narda Schulz are all dedicated bankers and will go above and beyond to find a solution for every personal and business need.

Narda and Columbia Bank helped sponsor Oktoberfest last week here in Arlington, as well as helping make many other events happen in our community. Narda is also going to help with next year's Arlington Business Workshops. We are currently planning our 2027 Classes, make sure to reach out and tell us what you would like to learn about.

Make sure to stop by Columbia Bank and say thank you!

Before you walk downtown next Saturday while trick-or-treating, during Arlington Hometown Halloween. Take a moment this weekend to watch this video. We always get questions about the businesses and the buildings that line Olympic Avenue, and the history behind them. Here is a great resource created by Stilly Valley Chamber Member A HUGE Production for the Stillaguamish Valley Museum. There is also a walking brochure that was printed with funds for a Washington 250 Grant. You can find a digital copy on the CIty of Arlington's Website or at the Visitors Center.
