Happy Sunday, everyone! 🌞

As we embrace this beautiful day, let’s take a moment to reflect on our relationships and how we can nurture them.

Here are a few tips to strengthen your bond with your loved ones:
1. Communicate Openly: Share your thoughts and feelings honestly. Open communication builds trust and understanding.
2. Show Appreciation: Take time to express gratitude for the little things your partner does. A simple “thank you” can go a long way.
3. Spend Quality Time Together: Whether it’s a walk in the park or a cozy movie night, make time for each other without distractions.
4. Practice Patience: Remember that every relationship has its ups and downs. Be patient and work through challenges together.
5. Keep the Spark Alive: Surprise your partner with a small gesture of love. It could be a handwritten note, a favorite treat, or planning a special date.

Let’s make today about love, connection, and growth. Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday filled with joy and meaningful moments! 💖 Ask The Kings coming back to KKVI Radio and a Podcast platform near you soon!!! Shirley Walker-King & Vincent King

Memorial Day Message from a Military Spouse

As a military spouse, Memorial Day holds a profound significance for me. It is a day to honor and remember the brave men and women who have sacrificed to serve our country. Their courage and dedication have ensured the freedoms we hold dear, and their memories live on in the hearts of their loved ones and the nation they served.

Today, we reflect on their selfless acts of valor and the immense sacrifices made by their families. Each story of heroism and sacrifice reminds us of the true cost of our liberty. We owe a debt of gratitude to those who laid down their lives for the ideals of freedom and justice.

To all the families who have lost a loved one in service, please know that your sacrifice is not forgotten. We stand with you in remembrance and honor the legacy of your heroes. Their spirit inspires us to strive for a better, more peaceful world.

Let us also take a moment to support and appreciate the veterans and active-duty service members who continue to protect our nation. Their unwavering commitment to duty and country deserves our deepest respect and recognition.

On this Memorial Day, let us unite as a community to pay tribute to the fallen, support their families, and celebrate the enduring values they fought to defend. May we always remember their sacrifices and work towards a future where their legacy of courage and dedication lives on.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Shirley Walker-King,
Military Spouse, Dependent, and Caregiver

There is a false narrative that choosing you is selfish.
That is not true.

Choosing you is the first step to creating a balanced life, learning to set boundaries, and finding your brave!

When you choose you it means:
• You have come to accept your flaws and imperfections
• You prioritize your mental, physical, and spiritual well-being
• You know your worth

How To Choose You:
• Change Your Mindset
• Create Balance
• Set Boundaries
• Be Brave
• Speak Up When Something Doesn't Feel Right
• Say No When No Needs To Be Said
