In each program, I’ll teach you how to use iNaturalist and we will walk around taking as many phone and camera photos of various flora, fauna, and fungi as we can! I absolutely love leading wildflower walks at Ball’s Bluff Battlefield Regional Park! The diversity of spring ephemerals there is hard to match. We enjoyed Virginia Bluebells (slide 1 and white flowers on slide 5), American Cowslip (slide 2), Squirrel Corn (slide 4), Bluets (slide 6), Wild Ginger (slide 7), Star Chickweed (slide 8), Virginia Springbeauty, Cutleaf Toothwort, and more! Of course I lead several programs at Bull Run for their vast stretches of bluebells, but I’ll continue to offer this wildflower walk at Ball’s Bluff so be sure to catch the next one.
