Before you buy electronics, do a quick safety scroll. Look for recalls on CPSC.gov, buy from reputable retailers, and check for certifications from testing labs like UL, CSA, or Intertek. This helps you avoid counterfeits that often skip safety testing altogether. A few minutes of research before you buy can help prevent fires, shocks, and major headaches later.
Lithium-ion batteries are everywhere, but you should never throw them away in the regular trash or recycling. They can start fires at waste and recycling facilities. Instead, take them to a battery recycling drop-off site.
