Over the past several days, firefighters from across Virginia participated in a Watercraft Operator class held at Little Falls near Chain Bridge. The training focused on boat operations, rescue techniques, maintenance, and field repairs to prepare personnel for water-based emergencies across the region.

A total of 19 students from departments across the state completed the course, with support from agencies including Hanover and Stafford Counties, who provided both boats and personnel for the training.

This hands-on training helps strengthen regional response capabilities and ensures crews are prepared to operate safely and effectively in challenging water rescue environments.
