A very special congratulations to our 2026 Volunteer of the Year, Nadine Cox! ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŒŸ Some people just have a way of making everything they touch a little better, and Nadine is certainly one of those people!

As both a member of our VCS family and our annual fundraising committee, Nadine gives so generously of her time, talents, and creativity. Whether she's sharing a new idea, putting her incredible design skills to work, or simply rolling up her sleeves to help wherever needed, Nadine is someone we can always count on.

Nadine, we hope you know just how much you mean to our VCS family! Thank you for all the heart, energy, and enthusiasm you bring to everything you do. This recognition is so well deserved, and we couldn't be happier to celebrate YOU! ๐Ÿฅ‚

Please join us in giving Nadine a big round of applause!

More candids from last nightโ€™s Opening Doors fundraiser! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’›โ˜บ๏ธ There are a whole lot of wonderful people behind everything we do at VCS, and we were lucky to have so many of them together in one place last night!

Our staff and volunteers spent the evening sharing more about the programs and services theyโ€™re part of every day, visiting with guests, lending a hand wherever it was needed, and simply enjoying the evening alongside the people who make our VCS community so special.

And, of course, it wouldnโ€™t be a VCS celebration without our favorite band in all the land! Voices of the Village filled the evening with music and brought exactly the kind of energy and joy weโ€™ve come to know and love from them. ๐ŸŽถ

To our staff, volunteers, musicians, and everyone who helped make last night happen - thank you. We truly couldnโ€™t do what we do without you!

We did things a little differently this year, starting with how we approached some of our fundraising elements!

We brought back our silent auction, but said goodbye to the traditional paper bid sheets and went completely online. There may have been a few learning curves early in the evening, but before long, phones were out, bids were flying, and it turned into a really fun and interactive part of the night!

We also brought back our โ€œWishing Groveโ€ with a new twist - a Star Wall filled with specific needs from across VCS. ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐ŸŒŸ Guests could choose a star and directly help fulfill something meaningful for our clients, programs, and organization.

And then there was the auction itself! A huge thank you to the incredible businesses, organizations, families, and individuals who donated this year. Because of their generosity, we were able to put together 60 fabulous auction packages for our guests to bid on!

And now the clock is officially ticking... only 11+ months until we get to do it all again. ๐Ÿฅฐ Mark your calendars now - we already have some ideas for next year!
