Great messages from APD and Officer Roger!
Arlington Police Share Halloween Weekend Safety Reminders, Announce Increased Park Patrols
As Halloween weekend approaches, the Arlington Police Department reminds residents to celebrate responsibly. Officers will conduct increased patrols in public parks throughout the weekend to address underage drinking and littering, discourage inappropriate behavior, and promote public safety.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to speak with teens about the dangers of alcohol use, discuss their plans, and ensure gatherings remain alcohol-free. Adults should not provide alcohol to anyone under 21.
The Department also urges everyone to plan ahead for safe transportation. Never drive while impaired by alcohol or other substances, and never ride with an impaired driver. Arrange for a sober driver or another safe ride before heading out.
Arlington’s public parks are shared community spaces enjoyed by families, children, athletes, and residents of all ages. Visitors are asked to dispose of trash properly, respect nearby neighbors, and help keep parks clean and welcoming.
The increased police presence is part of the Department’s efforts to help everyone enjoy a safe Halloween weekend.
The Arlington Police Department thanks residents for their cooperation and encourages everyone to make responsible choices and look out for one another.
