We had a great week Starting With Hello here at Davis! We wore our funky hats, mismatched our shoes, twinned with our classmates, and got nice a cozy at school in our pjs.
But most of all we focused on our old and new friendships and showed what showing kindness to others is all about! 💚👋

What is Start With Hello Week?
Start With Hello is a program that was developed to create safer and kinder schools. As someone who cares deeply about children you may know social isolation is a very real epidemic. It can cause kids to pull away and, in serious situations, even hurt themselves or others. Start With Hello is one of Sandy Hook Promise’s no-cost Know the Signs programs and teaches students to be more socially inclusive and connected to each other. This week we will be participating in activities and curricula that empowers students to end social isolation in three easy steps.
1.See Someone Alone: Learn how to recognize signs of social
isolation and loneliness
2.Reach Out and Help: Find out what you can do to help others
feel included
3.3. Start With Hello: Discover how to break the ice and strike
up a conversation

Our students weren't the only ones who rocked it in August! We want to recognize our Davis staff of the month as well!
Mrs. Munoz, Mrs. Boyd, and Mrs. Mitchell went above and beyond in August to increase our campus morale, better communicate with families, and support our students at all levels.
Thank you for your hard work this month! 🩵💚
