We have been made aware that several people tried to pay their fire dues through PayPal over the weekend and were unable to do so. PayPal temporarily placed our account under review, but the issue has now been resolved. If you tried to pay and were unable to, please use the new link in this post to submit your payment. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your support.

🚒 Fire Dues Reminder 🚒

Only 60 of the 616 structures in the Armorel-Huffman Fire District have paid their annual fire dues.

As Fire Chief, I’ll be honest—I’m discouraged.

Fire dues are what keep your volunteer fire department operating. They help pay our station utilities, building maintenance and upkeep, apparatus maintenance and repairs, fuel, and many of the day-to-day expenses required to keep our department ready to respond. If funds remain, they’re used to purchase firefighter protective gear, equipment, and tools—but those items are expensive, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to afford them.

Many people don’t realize that our department’s ISO (Insurance Services Office) rating can affect homeowners insurance premiums. Through the hard work of our volunteers and the support we’ve received, we’ve improved from an ISO Class 10 to a Class 7. Continuing to maintain and improve that rating takes ongoing investment in our department.

If you’ve already paid your fire dues, thank you. Your support truly makes a difference.

If you haven’t paid yet, I respectfully ask that you consider doing so. Your support helps ensure we’re ready when you need us most.

🚒 Important Fire Department Dues Update 🚒

By now, you should have received the fire dues fee letter in the mail.

You will receive one more letter for collecting fire dues for the upcoming year. These dues are essential in helping keep our fire department operating and ready to serve our community.

Beginning in 2027, fire dues will be automatically assessed on property taxes, eliminating the need for future collection letters.

👉 Here’s a link to easily pay this year’s and next year’s dues:

You can also scan the QR code on the flyer to pay quickly and securely.

A huge thank you to the Mississippi County Quorum Court and to everyone who worked tirelessly to get this ordinance passed. This change makes it easier for our community to support the fire department and helps ensure long-term sustainability moving forward.

Thank you to our residents for your continued support as we protect our community. ❤️🚒
