We want to see you succeed in your classes. Here are a few resources that can help you earn better grades and reach your goals.
-Your teachers are your best resource. If you're having trouble in a class, go to their office hours and talk to them.
-The Writing Center and Virtual Writing Center can help you improve your papers and research projects.
-Tutoring is available for individualized academic support.
-Supplemental Instruction is peer-mentored group tutor sessions for select classes.
-The Academic Literacies Lab can help you strengthen academic skills and develop study strategies.
-Disability Support Services can help you request accommodations for online and in-person classes.
-The Student Achievement and Success Program (SASP) supports students who may have extra challenges to overcome in order to reach their goals (plus it pays!).
-Academic and transfer advisors can help you make sure you're on track to meeting your goals.

Everyone has a story. The Human Library gives you the chance to hear those stories firsthand.

Join us for an evening of conversation, connection and celebration of the experiences that make us who we are. At the Human Library, people become “Books,” sharing their personal stories and lived experiences with “Readers” through open, respectful conversation.

Come ready to listen, ask questions, and discover a new perspective.

Oct. 15, 2026
4-8 p.m.
Student Union Room 100 (Hawk’s Nest Grill and Deli)

The event will also feature tables from AACC and community organizations where you can learn about available programs, services and resources.

Stop by, meet a Human Book and prepare to “unjudge” someone.
