Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the firefighters, first responders, law enforcement officers, and everyday heroes who ran toward danger. We honor their courage, sacrifice, and service and we will never forget. 🇺🇸

Today also marks a special milestone for the AVFD: our 10th year holding this annual raffle fundraiser.

Ten years of tickets sold, meals shared, conversations had, and - most importantly - an incredible community showing up to support their volunteer fire department.

We truly cannot say thank you enough. The continued support of our community helps us continue being there when we're needed most.

Ten years wouldn't have been possible without you. Thank you!

Here are some firework safety tips!

🎆 Never try to re-light or pick up fireworks that have not ignited fully
💧 Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose handy
👧 Never allow children to play with or ignite fireworks
✨ Sparklers burn at 2,000°F & are a common cause of emergency room visits
🍺 Alcohol does not mix well with fireworks
