"As America heads into the midterms, it is clear the lobby has all but lost the Democrats and may be skating on ever thinner ice with Republicans as well... The age of AIPAC's unmatched political power and influence is at an end."

"AIPAC’s influence in future Democratic Party politics will likely be limited to the role of either boogeyman or secret spoiler."

After witnessing a genocide for three years, U.S. Rep Brittany Pettersen wants you to know she’s still Israel first.

Today marks the anniversary of Hamas’ brutal attack on Israel that tragically murdered 1,200 people, took over 100 innocent civilians hostage, and ignited a deadly conflict that has brought devastation to the region.

Our message to Colorado Democrats:

The genocide continues and is expanding.

Yesterday, CD7watermelon joined a group of passionate CD5 activists to protest the El Paso Democratic Party Annual Gala. Headlining this event was CD6 Rep. Jason Crow and scheduled to attend was our very own CD7 U.S. Rep Brittany Pettersen.

This protest was like many others we’ve held in the past. We feel that the MAJORITY of people attending Democratic Party events agree with us. And while we appreciate all the honks, thumbs up and “thank yous”, it’s not enough. Thumbs up won’t end a genocide.

We need EVERYONE to start challenging leadership. Here in Colorado we can’t get a single member of the Congressional delegation to even admit it’s a genocide. How can we solve this problem if our leaders don’t even acknowledge what it is? We must push them harder, and it starts with you. Yes….YOU.

We are not asking you to disrupt like we do (unless you really want to 😉), but if you are sharing the same space with someone who has voted to arm Israel, it is your moral obligation to speak up. This applies to leaders in both parties as they are all complicit.

Many of the gala attendees we spoke with yesterday were not willing to confront Rep. Crow and this is a typical response. We often hear people say “I feel helpless”. You are NOT helpless. Please remember innocent lives are at stake. YOU have a voice and YOU can use it. Don’t let our morally compromised leaders treat you like blind followers. The time to act is NOW.

One last note…
Brittany Pettersen backed out of the event last minute, AGAIN. Hey Brittany, did Hannah warn you we were coming?
