Thank you to this AMAZING community! Because of your donations (and the community at large) , Ashburn Cares was able to deliver 124 Thanksgiving meal bags AND donate an additional 255 pounds of food to help offer our neighbors' in need a special holiday meal! Huge thanks to Hunger Relief for all their work in distributing to the families. And great job by our Mill Run SALT team of student leaders for helping with the packing party for the 5th graders!

Tomorrow (Tuesday October 29th) is the last day of our Ashburn Cares Thanksgiving meal donation drive! Our goal is to collect 126 of every item on the list (veggies, mashed potatoes, biscuits/cornbread, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce) so that each 5th grader at Mill Run elementary can pack a bag for a family in need and make them a card. Superhero Sprint was a huge success! The weather was perfect, the kids ran so many laps and we raised money that will 100% go back to Mill Run. The 5th graders had an EPIC party today to celebrate graduating elementary school! Thanks to the PTO for all of their assistance, as well as all the parents who planned, fundraised and volunteered for the party. Congrats 5th graders!!

Please join us for our last Spirit Night of the school year! Ice Cream Social at Sweet Frog in Brambleton Monday June 3rd from 12:30-8:30PM. Make sure to mention Mill Run so that our school gets 25% of the proceeds! Thanks for your support!
