The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office joins other law enforcement agencies and all Virginians in mourning the loss of a true hero, Smyth County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Hunter D. Reedy, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty.

Deputy Reedy gave his life in service to his beloved community and will never be forgotten. We grieve for his family, friends, and colleagues and wish them comfort in this time of sadness and commemoration. Rest in peace, Deputy Reedy.
