On this Motivational Monday, Good Shepherd of Northern Virginia honors the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of all the veterans who have served and continue to serve our nation. We are grateful for the freedom they protect and the strength they inspire. May God bless our veterans and their families, and may we all strive to honor their legacy.

We’re so excited about the impact of our Christmas in July Campaign for homeless children in our schools! Thanks to your incredible support we distributed 88 vouchers helping 108 adults and 146 children! 💙

Check out all those shoes from the Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation. This week we provided 103 pairs of new sneakers to children classified as homeless in Loudoun County Schools!

A special thank you this week to everyone who contributed to Christmas in July, including our partners at QTS, Capital One, the Sheetz Foundation, NOVEC Cares and Southern Electrical Services Company! Your support has created a meaningful impact in the lives of these children, helping them feel valued and empowered as they pursue their education.

Exciting News! 👟✨

We are thrilled to announce that the Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation has generously donated a wonderful collection of sneakers to support our voucher distribution program for homeless children in Loudoun County!

These sneakers will provide comfort and support to children in need, helping them to feel confident and ready to take on the day. We are incredibly grateful for this partnership and the positive impact it will have on our community.

A huge thank you to the Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundationfor their kindness and commitment to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable families. Together, we are stepping forward to empower our children and uplift our community!

Good Shepherd invites you to a special community event on November 8th from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM! This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about homelessness in Loudoun County and how we can all work together to make a difference.
We’ll have representatives from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, Shelter House, the McKinney Vento Team at LCPS, and the County Homeless Assistance Team joining us for an open discussion. Bring your questions, your compassion, and if possible, a donation of canned goods or a gently used winter coat to help those in need this season.

As we observe Homeless Awareness Month, let us be reminded of Jesus’s call to love and serve those in need. At Good Shepherd, we are committed to living out this mission by providing shelter, and support to homeless women, children and families in our community.

Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve been able to provide over 7,000 nights of shelter to 67 participants and distribute over 500 vouchers for clothing and essential items through our thrift stores to people in need across the county this year.

This month, let’s open our hearts to our neighbors in need, working together to create a world where everyone has a safe place to call home. Join us in spreading hope and compassion—your support makes a difference!

We're thrilled to partner with Wells Fargo to make a lasting impact on the lives of homeless women in Loudoun! 🙌💙

Last week their team put together over 1000 Welcome Home Kits to help women transition into stable housing. These kits are filled with essential items like laundry bags, toiletries, dish soap, and small kitchen essentials—everything needed to make a new place feel like home. 🏠✨ We are so blessed to be a beneficiary of these kits!

Jessica Sawyer, our Director of Mission, spent some time with the volunteers to talk about Good Shepherd and share stores of the women in our homes. Together, we're not just providing shelter—we're giving hope, dignity, and a fresh start! 💪🌷
