Registration is now open for the 2025/26 school year! Do you have a child who will be five years old by Sept. 30, 2025, or a student who is new to LCPS? They are eligible to register for school next year! Registration is a two-step process. Step one is online pre-registration: identify your child’s assigned school based on their home address, gather necessary documents and, for new LCPS families, create a ParentVue account. Once pre-registration is complete, your student’s school will contact you for an in-person registration appointment after Feb. 3, 2025. For more details, see: www.lcps.org/StudentRegistration

Today, Thursday, January 9, on Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, we thank everyone in law enforcement for everything they do every day to protect our schools and community.

After further assessment of neighborhood roads and sidewalks this evening after sunset, we have determined that Loudoun County Public Schools will remain closed tomorrow, Thursday, January 9, due to additional freezing and icy conditions.

Administrative offices will operate on a delayed schedule and will open at 10:00 a.m.

An announcement will be made by NOON on Thursday if after school activities on campuses may take place.

The Annual Loudoun County School Board Organizational Meeting, scheduled for 4:00 p.m. tomorrow, will proceed as planned.
