"Today, we're going to train AI." Gasp!

That's how Harper Park Middle School seventh graders reacted when they stepped aboard Learning Undefeated's Mobile STEM Lab.

Thanks to Equinix, more than 650 Harper Park students experienced hands-on STEM learning.

Seventh and eighth graders explored how AI uses data to identify and classify objects, while sixth graders created electromagnetic spectra and practiced key lab techniques.

Thank you to the Harper Park staff for helping bring science beyond the classroom!

Today is One LCPS Day, and we're celebrating the students, educators and families who make Loudoun County Public Schools extraordinary.

Through community support and partnerships, the Loudoun Education Foundation helps provide resources, innovative programs and essential student support that strengthen our schools and empower learners.

Together, we're building a brighter future for every student.

$123,000 a year. That is what is needed to cover basic needs for a Loudoun County family of four.

With support from the United Way, we’re able to support the families in the ALICE Community (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) with our in-school pantry program run by LEF’s Fueled team.

Part of the support from United Way comes directly from the event “Tee Up for Equity” hosted by Josh Etemadi, Board Member for the United Way of the National Capital Area and Chair of the United Way Regional Council of Loudoun County, Virginia.

The goal of the event is to raise awareness around the needs of the ALICE community and to raise funds to help LEF’s Fueled program meet the needs.

The Loudoun Education Foundation has been selected to receive the 2026 Nonprofit Achievement Award from the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties, recognizing the foundation’s growing impact on Loudoun County Public Schools students and educators.

The award comes during LEF’s 35th anniversary year and follows five years of significant growth for the organization.

Congratulations to Caroline Harrigan, a teacher assistant at the Academies of Loudoun and our October SHINE Award recipient! The staff surprised her with the honor at their staff meeting and as you can see she was surprised!

Caroline was nominated for her compassion, flexibility and dedication which makes a lasting impact on students every day. Her willingness to step up, support students through challenges and create a sense of belonging exemplifies what it means to put students first.

Creating opportunities for bright futures.

The Loudoun Education Foundation helps local small businesses and employers provide students with paid internships.

Thanks to funding from Loudoun Credit Union and the Loudoun Chamber Foundation several Loudoun County Public Schools high school students are preparing for their future careers through these work-based learning opportunities.

Congratulations to Lunsford Middle School for leading participation in the 18th annual Asha-Jyothi 5K!

LEF's Director of Development, Kari Murphy, was there to cheer on the winning school and celebrate the impact of this incredible community event alongside Loudoun County Public Schools Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, Neil Slevin.

The Asha-Jyothi 5K helps generate resources that are returned directly to participating schools, supporting programs and opportunities that help students thrive.
