Check you voter registration status here: https://www.sec.state.ma.us/VoterRegistrationSearch/MyVoterRegStatus.aspx
You can register to vote via the Massachusetts Secretary of State Office:
https://www.sec.state.ma.us/OVR/
Or, complete this form and submit it to the Town Clerk at Ashburnham Town Hall:
https://www.ashburnham-ma.gov/DocumentCenter/View/2818/voter-registration_English?bidId=
Or if you are pressed for time and have to register at the last moment, go to the Ashburnham Public Safety Bldg. (99 Central Street) on Saturday, October 24th from 9AM - 5PM. That is the last day to register for the November 3rd election.
Election Day is on Tuesday, November 3rd. Polls are open from 7AM - 8PM at the Briggs Elementary School, 96 Williams Road. Use the gym entrance which is located at the back of the building.

Please Note: In addition to voting for many federal and state candidates. there are NINE ballot questions. As such, your ballot may consist of two full-sized sheets of paper. The first sheet has a front AND back side. The second sheet consists of the remaining ballot questions. Before heading out to vote, know which candidates you plan to vote for, and research the issues raised by the ballot questions. The red booklet you received in the mail is a good first step. Every vote counts!
Helpful Hint: You are permitted to bring in your own "cheat sheet" to the polls, such as this one found on the Ashburnham Town website:
https://www.ashburnham-ma.gov/DocumentCenter/View/2859/Voter-Check-List-for-11-3-26?bidId=

Voting Machine testing: On October 21st at 1PM you can observe the voting machine testing procedures in the Lower-Level meeting room at Town Hall.

Mail Postmark Rules Have Changed

Previously: Mail was postmarked the day you mailed it

Now: Mail is postmarked the day it is processed, which can result in at least a 1-2 day delay

VOTE-BY-MAIL BALLOTS

- Must Be Postmarked by Election Day to Be Counted

- A late postmark will NOT be counted

If you are returning your ballot within a week of or on Election Day:

- Go to the post office counter and request a manual postmark

- Use a secure drop box (if available)

- Deliver your ballot directly to your election authority's (town or city clerk) office

Because the USPS has been consolidating local mail sorting into regional distribution hubs and adjusting daily transportation routes, mail dropped in a blue collection box or local slot often takes 1 to 2 days (or longer over weekends and holidays) to reach a processing machine.

DON'T RISK A LATE POSTMARK

Take extra steps to make sure your vote counts!
