Intern Spotlights of the Week
Every week, our internship program highlights outstanding students who are gaining real-world experience across our community. This week, we are thrilled to feature Julianne Saunders and Natalie Wright!

Julianne Saunders — Randolph Health Emergency Department
Julianne is diving headfirst into the healthcare field with her placement at Randolph Health’s Emergency Department. Working in emergency medicine requires quick thinking, adaptability, and empathy—qualities Julianne demonstrates daily. During her internship, she is learning the fundamentals of clinical operations, triage workflow, and patient-centered care alongside experienced medical professionals.

Natalie Wright — Uwharrie Charter Elementary School
Natalie is pursuing her passion for education through her placement at Uwharrie Charter Elementary School. By assisting classroom teachers, working directly with young students, and supporting lesson activities, Natalie is discovering the art and science of teaching. Her positive influence in the classroom helps foster an engaging and welcoming learning environment for students.

Mrs. Klinger and Mrs. Grigg’s class are learning about the
layers of the Earth. Students in class used Playdoh to build Earth’s
different layers. After students cut the Earth in half, they were able
to locate the different layers (inner core, outer core, mantle, and
crust). Students enjoyed using the Playdoh to model the different
layers!
