A heads-up to Buncombe County Republicans and other conservative-leaning residents:
In the coming weeks, Buncombe County Republican Party precinct leaders may contact you about serving as a paid Poll Worker during the 2026 General Election.
Poll Workers are trained election officials who work under the direction of the Buncombe County Board of Elections. They help prepare voting locations, check in voters, issue and process ballots, assist voters and secure the voting site at closing.
Our objective is to help ensure that Buncombe County has enough qualified people available to fully staff its voting locations.
If you receive a call, text or email from one of our precinct leaders, we hope you will consider the opportunity. Eligibility requirements apply, and the Board of Elections makes the final assignments.
