Clay County Children's Policy Council Our Vision

To assess the needs of children in our county and to build cooperation between various entities and interest groups.

To mobilize providers of services for children and involve them collaboratively to develop a community service plan which addresses the needs of children (ages 0 to 19). To provide our children with the skills and resources they need to become productive, well-rounded and informed decision makers. Our children are our future; let us invest wisely in their foundation. The Clay County Children’s Policy Council was initially founded in March of 1999 and disbanded shortly thereafter. It has been re-instated as of August 2006 with 30 volunteer members. We are fortunate to have very motivated and hard working members and to date have been able to bring several new programs into our county. We look forward to this challenge and hope that with community support we will have the ability to make a significant impact on the services and programs that affect the lives of our children.

The Clay County Children’s Policy Council was proud to attend the Alabama Children’s Policy Council State Conference! 💙

This conference provided an incredible opportunity to connect with CPC leaders and community partners from across Alabama, learn new strategies, share ideas, and bring valuable resources and knowledge back home to Clay County.

We are committed to strengthening our community by focusing on the needs of our children and families and building partnerships that create meaningful change. From mental health and family involvement to school success and community resources, we are continuing to work together to make Clay County a place where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and bring new ideas back to our community!
