Highway 66 is closed from Furnas street in Ashland North. Still a lot of flooding and reports of undermining roadways and bridges.

Plan for closed roadways and delays throughout the night and into tomorrow.

If you see water over any roadway DO NOT try to drive through it! There are numerous road washouts, undermining of roads, and manhole covers displaced.

DO NOT RISK YOUR LIFE OR THOSE OF FIRST RESPONDERS!

Reminder do not attempt to cross a road that has water over it. Water is expected to continue to rise!

The HEAT ADVISORY continues through 7pm for much of the area today as heat indices peak near 105°F again this afternoon.

If outdoors, stay hydrated and take breaks in the shade as often as possible.

If you happen to be at the Bluejay game tonight and notice a Yutan ambulance hanging out, it’s because our awesome mutual aid partners have loaned us a squad while we work to get our newest ambulance into service after a recent accident. Thanks Yutan Volunteer Fire Department!

As you travel in and around Greenwood, Ashland and into Gretna, watch out for some amazing volunteers marching for our Veterans as the 50 Mile Marchers will be traveling down hwy 6. They are starting at the State Capital and 22 hours later they'll be arriving at their final destination in Omaha.
