Ashland Senior Center The Senior Center serves as a focal point for all seniors (age 60+) in the town of Ashland, Ma., as well as a resource for their families.

The purpose of COA/Senior Center is to provide a variety of services and activities that promote the independent well-being of seniors, while maintaining their dignity. Our focus includes education, nutrition,preventive health care, physical fitness, recreation, creative arts, advocacy, support sevices and resource information.

We were invited to submit one piece of artwork to be professionally framed and displayed at the Middlesex Superior Court.

Thanks to a $25,000 grant awarded by the Cummings Foundation, the selected artwork will be professionally framed and displayed at the courthouse. A special ceremony and celebration will be held in November to unveil the gallery and celebrate the participating artists. Artists, their guests, community members, court staff, and judges will be invited to attend.

Attached is the artwork we are submitting by Sirkka K. Moore, who participates in our weekly Watercolor Class at the Ashland Senior Center.

The Town of Ashland is hiring an Outreach Coordinator for the Ashland Senior Center.

The Outreach Coordinator provides outreach, advocacy, information, and support services to older adults and individuals with disabilities in the Ashland community.

Responsibilities include assessing individual needs, connecting residents and their families with appropriate programs and resources, providing follow-up services, conducting community outreach, preparing reports and correspondence, and developing and maintaining a strong network of community resources and referral partners.
